Long Term Follow Up Header 2011
Summer 2010 (Vol. 7, No. 3)
The LTFU LifeLinks newsletter is sent quarterly to people who have undergone treatment through Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's transplant program.

In this issue of LifeLinks we are focusing on the positive steps that transplant survivors can take to mitigate the effects of transplant and live healthier, happier lives.

Research has shown time and again that exercise and actively participating in life keeps us healthier and counteracts the problems associated with aging.

The process of going through a hematopoietic transplant can have effects similar to aging. For this reason, participating in activities that fight the aging process is especially important for transplant survivors.

Best regards,
Paul Martin, M.D.
