Survivie and Thrive E-Newsletter FHCRC logo 2011 Dear friends of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Survivorship Program,

This edition of "Survive and Thrive" focuses on a type of swelling known as lymphedema, an all-too-common side effect in cancer patients and survivors. While it can affect recovery and daily activities, with the help of physical therapy, lymphedema can be effectively managed. Like many after-effects of cancer, education, treatment and self-care are important keys to dealing with lymphedema.

If you're struggling with lymphedema or other concerns, please contact us. We'd love to help connect you with great resources to help you live well and fully.

Wishing you well,

K. Scott Baker, MD
