Team Baldy Tops began with one little baldy top: Allistaire, who began fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia when she was just 21 months old in December 2011. Over and over, her life has been sustained by the life-saving research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research. Four years later, and she is still in the fight for her life.
Team Captain and Allistaire's mom, Jai Anderson, has riden in Obliteride since its first year in 2013. She has had the joy of being joined, first with her oldest friend and sister-in-law, and in subsequent years with more friends, family, nurses and staff from Seattle Children's Hospital and other folks who like us all, have people dear that are in the battle for their life against cancer.
Plain and simple, at some point cancer will impact your life. Half of all men and one third of all women in the U.S. will get cancer in their lifetime. Think of all those families and friends that will (or have!) to witness a loved one fighting for their life – parents, children, spouses, neighbors, etc.
We’ve chosen to do something about it. We’re going ALL IN and joining the Obliteride community to support cancer research at Fred Hutch.
More than 300 labs and projects are working hard to save the lives of people all over the world by conducting innovative, high-impact cancer research. We’re committed to supporting these labs so they can continue saving lives and can do so faster. We ask you to join our team in this fight.
It’s time for us to put cancer in its place. Behind us.
Ride with us, donate to our team, volunteer and tell others about Obliteride!
