Strike a deal, and a defendant can have immunity to prosecution. Build up enough tolerance, self-worth, and optimism, and a person can have immunity from the slings and arrows that life can throw their way: criticism, temporary defeat, doubt, misunderstanding, even abandonment by friends.
What about disease? Thanks to vaccinations, we can have immunity to measles, mumps, tetanus and many other diseases. Now we can give young people immunity to cancer-causing strains of the HPV virus. Hepatitis B vaccinations can help prevent liver cancers. Now, we're getting somewhere, thanks in large part to the work done at Fred Hutch here in Seattle.
Our team also promotes stoking our immune systems to perform at peak efficiency through diet and exercise. We want immunity from cancer and other diseases to be enhanced for all through this two-pronged approach: research into harnessing the immune system to both prevent cancer before it starts, and immunotherapy for treatment after it has grown; and nutrition, exercise and the mind-body connection to keep our wondrous immune system working full tilt to end cancer before it is even detectable.
We are committing to ride Obliteride this August because we believe that to achieve these goals, research is the fastest path to cure cancer and we also believe the team at Fred Hutch can get us there. The immune system is one of the most promising things they are focused on, but they are exploring other therapies and treatments as well.
Sadly, half of all men and one third of all women in the U.S. will get cancer in their lifetime.
But we believe immunity can be achieved for many and these numbers can come way down.
Fred Hutch is learning more about cancer prevention, diagnostics and treatment and Obliteride can help us get to cures faster.
More than 300 labs and projects are working hard to save the lives of people all over the world by conducting innovative, high-impact cancer research.
Please join us in this effort to put cancer in its place, behind us. Seek Immunity!
Ride with us, donate to our team, and tell others about Obliteride.
