Seattle Cancer Care Alliance brings together the leading research teams and cancer specialists of Fred Hutch, Seattle Children's and UW Medicine. The motto of this amazing team is "Better Together".
A year ago I was diagnosed with cancer and I am treated at SCCA. Over the last year I have seen how the Better Together approach improves results but more importantly how it gives me confidence and comfort as a patient.
Everyone on my SCCA treatment team is "All In" and I mean everyone! I have had wonderful support from friends and family and they are all part of my team too. I have learned that Better Together extends beyond the walls of SCCA to everyone that supports me.
My team is what inspired me to participate in Obliteride to raise money for the important research work at Fred Hutch and if you, a friend or a family member has been affected by cancer I encourage you to join the SCCA Better Together Obliteride team. If you are one of the wonderful caregivers at SCCA, I encourage you to join the team too!
There are many ways to participate. You can join as a rider and select any route from 25-150 miles. Team members don't all have to ride the same route. If you aren’t able to ride this year, you can still join our team as a volunteer or virtual rider. You could also make a donation. 100% will go to Fred Hutch.
Fred Hutch is learning more about cancer prevention, diagnostics and treatment and Obliteride can help us get to cures faster.
More than 300 labs and projects are working hard to save the lives of people all over the world by conducting innovative, high-impact cancer research.
Please join us in this effort to put cancer in its place, behind us.
